Twelve new comedications and two new comedication classes have been added to the interaction checker in December.
New classes of “ADHD Agents” and “Cough and Cold Preparations” were created with the existing comedications of atomoxetine, lisdexamfetamine and methylphenidate being moved from “Other” to ADHD Agents.
The new comedications added this month are shown below:- ADHD Agents - Guanfacine
- Coughs and Cold Preparations - Carbocisteine, Dextromethorphan, Pseudoephedrine
- Gastrointestinal Agents - Linaclotide
- Gastrointestinal Agents (Antiemetics) - Fosaprepitant
- Herbals/Supplements/Vitamins - Biotin (alone), Biotin (multivitamins)
- Other - Brinzolamide, Ramelteon, Tasimelteon, Telotristat
